Sunday relax

Sunday was a relaxing day but we did get to eat from a great Sunday buffet that included cheese croquettes, some of the best pickles, marinated beets, sweet red cabbage, roast lamb, fresh Ballycotton oysters, fried fish, and more.

Mel left in the afternoon, but at night we went to see an American blues pianist Al Copley perform a concert in the Grain Store, with Jean-Christophe. The concert was entertaining as we got to watch lots of old people dance and do the “twist”. We then hung out with the rest of the "young" staff for food/dessert.

  1. Sounds like you guys are having too much fun. I hope some of your enthusiasm for things food-related rubs off on Emily. She has alerady said she wants to take over the garden ker grandmother keeps in Massachusetts, but we'll have to see how enthusiastic she is in April/May 2011!

Catching fish is fun. Not catching fish while expecting to catch fish is not fun. Unless the weather is perfect, which it sounds like it wasn't.

  2. Hey Sanders, Mella's brother Eoin (Owen) here, I don't know if your still going to be around this weekend (11th-13th June) but if you are myself and my wife (carol) will be down in Youghal(yawl)and it would be good to meet up.

  3. Mr Weber--she says she still does and she wants to expand your "garden" at home, so hopefully she's still excited whenever she's home! I'll make sure she is.

  4. Hi Eoin,

I'm with a friend here and we are trying to finalize our plans for the weekend because we may be going to Galway this weekend. I have your number in Mella's phone, so if we are around we'd love to meet up. Thanks a lot for getting in touch and I will call you if we are around this weekend.

  5. If you do go to Galway at the weekend check out the Around Ireland power boat race which finishes in Galway on Saturday and look out for Zoolander with team Bluesteel piloted by our friend Osin Ryan. You can check it out on the following link http://www.aroundireland.org/
